Compliance & Safety
A safe place to work
At Hills ParcelDirect, we place a strong emphasis on compliance, in order to provide a safe and orderly environment for all our employees.

Occupational Health & Safety
Occupational Health & Safety plays an integral role in our business, with regular committee meetings continually working towards a safer workplace. All employees are required to complete pre-employment medical examinations, random drug and alcohol testing, as well as on-going training in safe work practices. Our quarterly on-site depot audits, together with regular audits by other relevant bodies, ensure all areas of compliance are kept up-to-date.

Driver Safety
Each and every Hills ParcelDirect vehicle is part of a pro-active, regular maintenance program, with all company vehicles included in the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS). Our drivers, who we see as the core of our business, complete:
  • pre-employment medical examinations
  • other medical examinations, as required, from time to time
  • random drug and alcohol testing
  • training in Basic Fatigue Management
Hills ParcelDirect has also attained accreditation in NHVAS Fatigue Management (accreditation number: BFM-150969). We take a pro-active approach to workplace safety through on-going education and training, ensuring full compliance with Chain of Responsibility and other legislation.
