Bunnings Inbound Delivery Model
Overview
Recently, a decision has been made by Bunnings to appoint a panel of four carriers to facilitate deliveries into selected outlets nationally. Their objective is to reduce the number of deliveries and congestion at the back of their stores, as well as improving their speed to market, overall in-stock position and to reduce transport costs and emissions. Hills ParcelDirect has demonstrated that we have the required capabilities and have been named as one of the four panellists.

Network
The national delivery network consists of all six business units within the ParcelDirect group, with each identity well-known and respected within their own state(s). Those businesses are as follows:
  • NSW / ACT / QLD - Hills ParcelDirect
  • VIC / TAS - Vicfast ParcelDirect
  • SA / NT - Northern Kope ParcelDirect
  • WA - ParcelDirect Western Australia
  • National Presence - Couriers Please / ParcelDirect
Implementation
Implementation will take place on a staged basis, beginning September 29, 2008, and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2008.
